OUR HISTORY

Acquired in 1976 by Philippe Thomas and then taken over by his children, the 4* Hotel Splendid Étoile is a superb stone slab Haussmann building from 1879. Forty years later, the 4* Hotel Splendid Étoile was a well-known property where experienced travelers appreciated its view, its welcome, its services, and its low-key luxury.

Built in 1928, the Hotel Rochester experienced a particular excitement on the occasion of Abbé Pierre's Winter 54 appeal.

Generous parisians, touched by the Abbé's appeal, queued outside the hotel to bring clothes and blankets to the homeless during the harsh February weather, which was posting temperatures of -15°C.

Since then, from expansion to renovations, the 4* Hotel Rochester Champs-Élysées now houses 105 rooms that are spread out on the street or on the pretty flowered interior courtyard.
